The NHL trade deadline is just three days away. And big deals are happening, with the Toronto Maple Leafs acquiring center Ryan O’Reilly, the New York Islanders trading for Bo Horvat, the New York Rangers bringing in Vladimir Tarasenko and Patrick Kane, and the New Jersey Devils landing Timo Meier.

The trade: The Blackhawks trade Patrick Kane to the Coyotes, retaining 50% of his salary; the Coyotes trade Kane to the Rangers, retaining 50% of his salary in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick; Rangers trade a conditional 2023 second-round pick and a 2023 fourth-round pick to Chicago.
