Police appeal after puppies and sprocker spaniel taken in separate thefts
Officers are appealing for information after a number of dogs were stolen in separate incidents in Scotland’s northeast.
Three seven-week-old puppies were pinched from a house in Aberdeen between 4pm and 7pm on Sunday 19 March.
Owner Becca Ewan posted an appeal on Facebook, saying the pups were taken while she was out enjoying a Mother’s Day meal.
She said she was “heartbroken” over the thefts.

Police Scotland said the puppies are bulldogs crossed with Rhodesian ridgebacks, and are tan in colour with blue eyes.
In a new appeal for information, PC Cruickshank said: “Despite our enquiries following the report of this theft, the puppies remain missing.
“As such, we are appealing to anyone with any information at all that could help us reunite the pups to please get in touch.”

A brown sprocker spaniel named Malteaser was then stolen from a locked kennel at an address in Aberdeenshire’s New Deer.
The 11-year-old pet was taken between 8.30am on Friday 24 March and 8.45am on Saturday 25 March.
Malteaser, who is brown with white markings on its muzzle, was wearing a collar with a name tag.
A force spokesperson said: “At this time, there is nothing to indicate any link between this incident and the theft of pups in Aberdeen earlier this month.”
