A man has died after an incident involving an “out of control” dog that was shot dead by police.
The man was found seriously injured at a house in Cameron Road on Saturday morning, and police now say he died at the scene.
The animal, said to be “presenting a risk to officers”, was killed by armed police who attended.
Derbyshire Police said a man arrested in connection with the incident remains in custody.
A cordon also remains in place, and there will be an increased police presence in the area as enquiries continue.
