A search has been launched for a missing teenager who failed to return from a hike in the Scottish Highlands.

Isaac Johnson, 17, was reported missing from Glen Moidart at around 11pm on Saturday.

The teenager had set off on his walk at around lunchtime. Police Scotland believe he was in the area south of hill Creag nan Lochan and headed northeast after that.

Police officers, the coastguard and mountain rescue teams have been carrying out extensive searches, but there have been no confirmed sightings so far.

Isaac was wearing shorts, a rain jacket and walking boots. He was also carrying an Adidas bag.
