Four dead including the gunman in shooting at California biker bar
Four people including a gunman have been killed in a mass shooting at a bikers’ bar in California.
The Orange County Sheriff’s department said another six victims, five of which had gunshots wounds, were in hospital after the attacker opened fire at the Cook’s Corner bar in Trabuco Canyon.
The sheriff’s office has not released details of how the gunman was killed.
Local media has reported he was a retired law enforcement officer who was shot dead by deputies.

The gunman was targeting his wife in the attack, three law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation told Sky News’ US partner network NBC News.
Aerial video from the scene showed a large presence of police and fire department vehicles.
California governor Gavin Newsom’s office said they were aware of the shooting and coordinating with local officials.

State senator Catherine Blakespear, whose district includes Orange County, said she was “devastated” about the shooting.
“My heart aches for those involved,” she wrote on social media. “My team and I are monitoring the situation and thank the first responders for their involvement at the scene.”
Hours before the shooting, several patrons were stopping by Cook’s Corner for an afternoon drink and meal. Rows of motorcycles and bikes framed the gravel entrance where plaques describe the storied history of the bar built in 1884.
