The Metropolitan Police has arrested a man after allegations of a confrontation with Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The 42-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of assault.

Footage circulating on social media appeared to show the aftermath of an incident involving Keane and fellow pundit Micah Richards following Arsenal’s win over Manchester United.

Sky Sports confirmed the incident saying that Richards attempted to “defuse” the situation, adding the alleged assault immediately preceded the footage on social media.

Both Keane and Richards have given statements to the Met Police.

The alleged incident took place after Arsenal triumphed 3-1 over Manchester United.
