MTV star Jacky Oh died of complications from a cosmetic procedure, an autopsy report has revealed.
Oh, who was also known as Jacklyn Smith, died the day after she had “gluteal augmentation” surgery in Florida, according to the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner report, which has been seen by NBC News, Sky News’ US partner network.
The mother-of-three was part of Wild ‘N Out, a US sketch comedy and rap battle improv game created and hosted by Nick Cannon for five series.
She had travelled to Florida from Georgia for the surgery, the report says.
The procedure is used to “improve the contour, size and shape of the buttocks” according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
It is achieved by fat grafting, which is moving fat from another part of the body, or silicone implants – or sometimes a combination of both techniques.
Risks associated with the surgery listed on the American Society of Plastic Surgeons website include bleeding, deep vein thrombosis, cardiac and pulmonary complications.

The autopsy report goes on to say Oh had the surgery on 30 May, and was prescribed the antibiotic ciprofloxacin, the painkiller oxycodone and anti-nausea medication ondansetron.
It says she began to develop a post-surgery headache, and a nurse advised her to discontinue the ondansetron and take ibuprofen as needed.

Oh “began to feel like her head was burning” on the night of 31 May.
Her aunt, who had travelled with her, contacted the emergency services, and Oh was taken unresponsive to Florida Mercy Hospital, the medical examiner wrote.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital that night.
The medical examiner’s report said she was 33 at the time of her death, however reports at the time said she was 32, with her 33rd birthday not until November.

Oh was in a relationship with comedian and rapper DC Young Fly, who also featured in Wild N’ Out.
The couple shared three young children, Nova, Nala and Prince.
Wild ‘N Out posted about Oh’s death in June, saying her “impact will be forever treasured and missed” in a statement attributed to a spokesperson from BET Media Group.
“Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild ‘N Out cast throughout five seasons. More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children.”
