A man has been charged by police investigating the murder of Irish woman Tina Satchwell who went missing more than six years ago.
It comes after officers discovered skeletal remains buried beneath a home in Youghal, Co Cork, earlier this week.
It is understood police are now satisfied the remains are those of Ms Satchwell.
The man, aged in his 50s, was arrested following the discovery.
He has been charged in connection with the case and is due to appear at a special sitting of the Cashel District Court on Saturday, police said.
Ms Satchwell, originally from Fermoy, went missing from her home in Youghal in March 2017.
On Tuesday, a major police search took place at the property – with the remains found a day later, according to the Irish police service An Garda Siochana.
The remains were taken to Cork University Hospital, where they were examined and underwent DNA analysis.
