Kensington Palace announced yesterday that the Princess of Wales had abdominal surgery and will remain in hospital for up to two weeks.

Sky News understands the planned surgery is routine and the princess’s condition is non-cancerous.

The 42-year-old was admitted on Tuesday to The London Clinic, a private hospital in central London.

This afternoon, William drove himself away from the hospital in an Audi e-Tron GT Carbon Vorsprung, followed by a Land Rover Discovery, and left by the back entrance during the visit.
