“We’re just reminded, when any parent or individual has a health scenario, just really get the checks that you need to get,” she told the programme.
“My sister and I are so proud of her for taking the steps to get those checks,” she said, adding they “modelled” their approach to health on their mother.
This Morning host Craig Doyle addressed what he called a “heavy-going” period for the Royal Family, with the King and Princess of Wales also undergoing cancer treatment.
“It’s been a tough year for all of you across the board,” he said, to which the princess responded: “There’s nothing more important than family.”
Princess Beatrice was speaking from the top of the Empire State Building, where she was taking part in an event for Outward Bound, a charity she supports.

March: Kate reveals she is having cancer treatment
Kate revealed her diagnosis in a video message in March, saying she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy for a cancer found following abdominal surgery.
The Duchess of York sent her well wishes after the announcement, saying: “As someone who has faced their own battles with cancer in recent months, I am full of admiration for the way she has spoken publicly about her diagnosis and know it will do a tremendous amount of good to raise awareness.”
