Ten people have been taken to hospital after a land train tipped over at a holiday park in Cornwall.
The Looe Land Train company – which runs tours in the coastal region – said it was involved in an accident while carrying passengers at around 7pm on Wednesday.
During an event at Tregoad Holiday Park in St Martin, the carriage of the land train tipped over and “a number of its passengers have been injured”, the firm said.
A land train is a vehicle that can drive on roads and looks like a train.
Welcome to Looe & Polperro, a tourism group in Cornwall, posted a statement from the land train company which said it was “devastated” by the incident.
“We understand from the emergency services that 10 people are being treated at local hospitals,” Looe Land Train said.
“We also understand that none of these injuries are critical nor life threatening.
“At this time, the cause of the accident is unknown. No other vehicles were involved.
“We will be fully cooperating with any investigation by the authorities.”
