ZEEKR teases images of its next shooting brake EV, a sleek GT version of its 007 sedan

A day after sharing plans for three new BEV launches in 2025, ZEEKR has shared a look at one of them. The Chinese automaker has developed a shooting brake version of its 007 sedan, the ZEEKR 007 GT, which you can see for the first time below.

ZEEKR kicked off CES 2025 yesterday with news of a new domain controller built using NVIDIA’s DRIVE Thor next-generation centralized computer. NVIDIA unveiled DRIVE Thor in the fall of 2022, announcing ZEEKR as its first customer and planning the initial production of vehicles featuring the technology for early 2025.

ZEEKR said its domain controller will soon be mass-produced and integrated into a new large SUV model to be launched this year, which will be one of three new BEVs the automaker plans to launch in 2025. According to ZEEKR CEO Andy An, those vehicles have been internally codenamed “EX,” “DX,” and “CC.”

While ZEEKR has not confirmed any of those codenames match that of the newest model it unveiled today, we do have confirmation that a new shooting brake version of the 007, called the 007 GT, is on the horizon. Check it out.

ZEEKR teases 007 GT, which stands for “Grand Tour”

ZEEKR shared the three images above in a recent Weibo post with the following caption (translated):

007 GT Zeekr’s second shooting brake is here
GT, Grand Tour, a great journey is about to begin, see you tomorrow.

ZEEKR has confirmed that the GT plate stands for “Grand Tour. ” From the images, the 007 shooting brake appears to be a sportier version of the already sleek 007 sedan launched in China just over a year ago. The 007 GT will join the 001 as the second shooting brake in the ZEEKR lineup. The 001 also saw a quad-motor performance variant called the 001 FR, which began deliveries in the fall of 2023.

We don’t yet know what specs the ZEEKR 007 GT will deliver or how they will compare to the sedan that preceded it, but we’d expect this new variant to see some performance upgrades that are more track-friendly. According to CnEVPost, the new shooting brake will be sold globally and be called the ZEEKR 7 GT in overseas markets outside of China.

Per ZEEKR CEO and Geely President Andy An during a recent Q4 financials call, ZEEKR intends to launch the 007 GT shooting brake in Q2 of 2025.

Interestingly, the Weibo post says, “See you tomorrow.” We’re unsure if that was a figure of speech about the future of ZEEKR EVs or a literal hint of more details about the 007 GT to arrive in the coming hours. Perhaps the company will share more information at CES. We will keep an eye on this and report back.
