Xiaomi teases YU7 interior, complete with a ‘HyperVision’ display across the entire dash
As confirmed this week, the new YU7 SUV from Xiaomi Automobile will officially launch on May 22. Before then, however, Xiaomi has teased a brief glimpse at the YU7’s interior—more specifically, an intuitive display that runs across the entire dashboard.
We just offered a recap on the history of the Xiaomi YU7 yesterday, so we will keep things brief and get right to the news surrounding its interior, including a link to the video you can see below.
The YU7 is Xiaomi Auto’s second flagship model, announced nearly a year ago to the day as an all-electric SUV to compete against the Tesla Model Y in China. By June 2024, we had our first spy images of the SUV, followed by news in December that it was called the Xiaomi YU7.
At that time, Xiaomi also said the YU7 would launch in June or July of 2025. According to a recent Weibo post from Xiaomio, the new SUV will officially be unveiled this week. To continue building excitement for the YU7, Xiaomi took to Weibo again, showcasing a beautiful new Emerald Green exterior and a video teasing its interior, complete with “HyperVision.”
Xiaomi teases “HyperVision” interior ahead of YU7 debut
In addition to a slew of images of its new Emerald Green dual-layer paint, which will be offered on the YU7, Xiaomi shared a brief 16-second teaser video showing the SUV’s interior. CnEVPost converted the video from Weibo to YouTube, which you can view here.
As you can see in the video and the featured image above, the interior of the Xiaomi YU7 features a unique display that runs below the windshield across the entire dashboard. Per its Weibo post, Xiaomi calls this a ” Sky Screen Panoramic Display” known as “HyperVision.”
The Chinese automaker shared that HyperVision is a more intuitive visual interaction system and a “sky vision that breaks through imagination.”
What that truly entails remains uncertain at this point, but we have been promised we will learn more when the Xiaomi YU7, interior and exterior, will be unveiled to the public, May 22 at 7 PM Beijing time.
