The Princess of Wales has pulled out of attending Royal Ascot – as she continues to find the right balance after her cancer diagnosis.

Kate is said to be disappointed at not attending the sporting event in Berkshire with Prince William, and the King and Queen.

William has been named as one of the figures awarding race prizes during the second day of the meet.

Kate shared her cancer diagnosis with the public last March.

She finished her treatment in September last year and said in January that it was “a relief to now be in remission”.
