Autonomous driving technology specialist Nuro, Inc. has closed a Series E funding round totaling $203 million. Through its latest successful funding round, the company is now valued at $6 billion, and fresh investor NVIDIA joins existing tech companies like Uber.
Nuro, Inc. is a robotics company that has made huge strides in Level 4 autonomous vehicles. While Nuro focuses more on zero-occupant delivery vehicles, its AI-enabled Nuro Driver system has continued to evolve and expand to support various applications, from robotaxis and commercial fleets to personally owned vehicles.
Tech mobility company Uber has invested in Nuro, Inc., and has operated a longstanding partnership with the autonomous tech company and its Uber Eats business since 2022. Uber was also part of an exciting new three-way partnership announced in July that includes Nuro, Inc. and Lucid Motors.
Uber intends to invest $300 million in the American automaker to combine Lucid Gravity BEVs with the Nuro Driver autonomy system and implement them across its global network of service and fleet management capabilities, offering the public an entirely new “fully-integrated robotaxi experience.”

Nuro, Inc. remains well-positioned for future growth
Today’s closing of Nuro’s Series E funding round included a fresh $97 million, which adds to the round’s initial $106 million announced last April and led by companies such as T. Rowe Price Associates and Fidelity Management and Research.
Nuro, Inc. completed the round with a $6 billion valuation led by additional investments from Uber, Baillie Gifford, and newcomers in Icehouse Ventures, Kindred Ventures, Pledge Ventures, and NVIDIA. NVIDIA, a highly valued tech company in its own right, has been a long-term collaborator with Nuro, Inc. on the tech side.
Nuro’s current compute module was built on the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor platform. Nuro also uses NVIDIA GPUs in its cloud for large-scale data processing and model training.
With the closing of its latest funding round, Nuro, Inc. reports it has raised over $2.3 billion to date and is sitting pretty to continue autonomous technology development and expand on the partnerships outlined above. Per Nuro co-founder and President, Dave Ferguson:
The closing of our Series E reinforces the strong conviction our investors and strategic partners have in Nuro’s technology, our scalable approach to commercialization, and our vision for the future of autonomy. With this new capital, we’re well-positioned to continue our next phase of growth, which will see us focus on delivering new commercial partnerships to realize autonomy at global scale.
Uber is expected to roll out Lucid vehicles equipped with Nuro Driver in a major US city in 2026.
