Western society is without a doubt experiencing a monumental identity crisis.

At the center of the problem, Nick Vujicic recently explained to CBN’s Faithwire, is a lack of understanding of God and how He made human beings, male and female, in His likeness.

“When you actually understand the image of God … if we can come back to that simple truth and the root is you were made in the image of God and God made male and female,” he said. “If you’ve got a penis, you’re a male period.”

“We’ve got to understand how God has made us who we are,” Vujicic continued. “He loves us; He’s got a plan for us. Let’s get back to the basis of such.”

Vujicic was referring to biblical passages like Genesis 1:27, which reads, “So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them” (NLT).

The Christian author’s comments come as many on the left continue to push for the embrace of transgender-related treatments, specifically on minors.

Last October, Dr. Rachel Levine, assistant secretary of President Joe Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services, described “gender-affirming care” for minors as “safe [and] medically necessary.”

“Accredited medical professional groups agree that gender-affirming care is medically necessary, safe, and effective for trans and non-binary youth,” Levine wrote on X.

Levine further claimed there “is no argument among medical professionals” about the safety of transgender treatments such as irreversible, body-altering surgeries and hormone therapies for children.

More recently, in March, Levine said transgender procedures for minors has the “highest support” from the Biden administration and claimed society writ large will soon embrace such treatments for kids.

Secular society is pushing ahead full-steam on this issue. As CBN News reported, chest surgeries that is, procedures females who identify as males undergo to remove their breasts increased nearly 390% from 2016 to 2019.

Some studies, however, have shown the exact opposite of Levine’s claims: they have found transgender procedures are, in fact, quite harmful. One analysis from the University of Hamburg Medical Center, for example, found “transgender and gender diverse people who have undergone gender reassignment surgery feel lonelier.”

Vujicic argued Christians need to be bolder in standing up for biblical truth on sexual matters.

“That’s exactly what we’re dealing with here in Gen Z: ‘I’m gonna feel good today, depending on what you think of me and, if you don’t like me, that’s cool. I’ve got some friends that like me the way I am. They love me,’” he said. “They love you? If they really loved you, and LGBT [lifestyles are] a sin, they would lovingly tell you that … you cannot be comfortable in that sin. You must walk away from sin.”

D-backs activate OF Carroll from injured list

PHOENIX — – The Arizona Diamondbacks activated outfielder Corbin Carroll from the 10-day injured list before Saturday’s game against the Kansas City Royals.

Carroll, sidelined since June 18 with a chip fracture in his left wrist, returned to his customary leadoff spot and was starting in right field against the Royals. He was injured when he was hit by a pitch thrown by Toronto’s Justin Bruhl.

Carroll said before Saturday’s game that his wrist felt better the last couple of days and he played in a minor league game on Friday in the Arizona Complex League to test it out.

The 2023 National League Rookie of the Year has 20 home runs, a major league leading nine triples and a .255 batting average this season. To make room for Carroll on the roster, the Diamondbacks optioned utilityman Tim Tawa to Triple-A Reno.
