I’ve heard of electric trucks. I’ve heard of electric RVs. But I’ve never seen anything quite as cool or as silly as this electric house on wheels. And you know what that means! This electric mobile home is a perfect entry for my Awesomely Weird Alibaba Electric Vehicle of the Week!

First of all, let’s get an idea of what we’re looking at here.

I’m not sure I can really call this a mobile home. It’s more of a mobile box shaped like a home.

But when it comes to being almost a house, there are some decent arguments to be made here. It’s got a pitched roof, back porch, picture windows, and even a front (side?) door. Scoring more points in the mobile home column is the fact that the doors have real doorknobs, not just car door handles.

It looks like you even get three keys, so don’t say they don’t spoil you!

When it comes to living space, we’re looking at a full 8.6 square meters (92 sq feet), meaning it’s about a quarter the size of my and my wife’s first apartment.

But just like us in our first apartment, don’t expect to live too glamorously in there. A cursory glance inside this oversized rolling dollhouse shows what appears to be an empty box. It’s an echo chamber of nothingness. Well, perhaps not nothing. There’s a steering wheel, a desk fan, and a water bottle. It’s unclear whether the water bottle is included as standard equipment or is an optional add-on. There’s also no bathroom, so don’t hit that water bottle too hard. Or if you do, you better finish it — if you catch my drift.

It’s also unclear how you actually drive the thing as there is no driver’s seat. You know how sometimes you drop something under the sink and have to fish it out with your foot? That appears to be how you work the pedals.

My advice is to bring a folding chair. You can use it as the driver’s seat, and then once you park, you can drag it out onto the back porch to relax. Two birds, one folding chair.

The decorative handrail might also be doing double duty as a safety rail if your partner decides to change addresses while you’re still enjoying the balcony view.

As far as car components, our storage unit on wheels seems essentially half-complete with headlights, taillights, and mirrors. There’s either a stud to install a wiper or the remnants of a wiper that fell off a few miles ago — I’m not quite sure on that one.

It looks like we’re rolling on four spare tires and that our little wheels get powered up by a 3,000W (4 hp) motor. A top speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) isn’t going to get us anywhere in a hurry, but it’s a heck of a lot faster than my current apartment. That thing doesn’t even move at all, so now I’m not really sure why I’m paying so much each month.

To be honest, I don’t know how it even gets up to that top speed with the aerodynamic profile of a barn door, but I assume they’ve got it worked out by now. You could probably sit on a little red wagon and draft this thing at 25 mph — it’d be sucking that much air down the road.

Through the back door of our little home on the prairie pavement, I can just make out the battery bank on the floor. They outfit it with a 60V lead acid battery system, which is a bit old school for me.

I’d rather rock a lithium-ion battery pack. You could pop in a few 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries and be all set up, though five of those packs would add up to the same $2,500 purchase price of the entire house!

While you’re doing upgrades, that roof looks like it’d be the perfect place to throw a few cheap $80 solar panels, or maybe you could convince Tesla to put a solar roof up there.

Personally, I don’t think I’ll be standing in line to put down a deposit on one of these mobile houses. I’m sure it’s got some value in it – probably more so when used for its actual intended purpose, which appears to be as a food truck? And I can even see this making a really cool man-cave or she-shed on wheels. But I’m still waiting on my last Alibaba purchase (a $2,000 mini electric pickup truck that turned out to be a biiiiiit more expensive than that). So I’m going to sit this one out, if that’s alright with you guys.

Not that you should let that stop you from purchasing the electric mobile home of your dreams. I’ll be the first to show up with a housewarming gift. I’ve got a great set of fuzzy dice picked out.

Friends creators reveal final episode scripts were leaked by an insider in 2004

The creators of Friends have revealed that parts of the script for the final episode were leaked by an insider ahead of the show airing.

Simply titled The Last One, millions tuned in as the episode brought the hit comedy to a close 20 years ago, on 6 May 2004, finally resolving the decade-long “will they, won’t they?” romance between Ross and Rachel.

It was the end of an era for its stars – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer – and fans around the world.

Looking back at the final shows in an interview with NBC’s Today show in the US, Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane revealed details of the leak.

“Oh my god, we tried so hard to keep it a secret!” Kauffman said. “We were desperate to keep it a secret and it got out. And it was an inside job.”

Scripts sent out ahead of the premiere of the final episode were numbered, Crane explained.

“We knew how many people knew what it was going to be,” he said. “So it did, through an element of… it became a behind-the-scenes detective show.

“It was frustrating, but at the end of the day, what are you gonna do?”

FILE - Matthew Perry arrives at the premiere of "The Invention of Lying" in Los Angeles on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009. Perry, who starred as Chandler Bing in the hit series ...Friends,... has died. He was 54. The Emmy-nominated actor was found dead of an apparent drowning at his Los Angeles home on Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Times and celebrity website TMZ, which was the first to report the news. Both outlets cited unnamed sources confirming Perry...s death. His publicists and other representatives did not immediately return messages seeking comment. (AP Photo/Matt Sayles, File)

Part of the script that leaked included the details of Ross and Rachel finally getting back together, Kauffman said.

But when asked if the mystery of who released the information was solved, she replied with a smile: “Ish.”

“Ish,” Crane repeated.

After 10 series and 236 episodes, as well as Ross and Rachel’s reunion, the final instalment saw Monica and Chandler leaving their famous Manhattan apartment and moving to the suburbs as new parents to adopted twins.

Perry, who died last year, aged 54, wrote about the finale in his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers, And The Big Terrible Thing.

“Before that final episode, I’d taken Marta Kauffman to one side,” he wrote. “‘Nobody else will care about this except me’, I said. ‘So may I please have the last line?'”

His character Chandler did indeed have the last line. As the Friends decide to go for one last coffee before the move, he simply asks, “Where?”, in a trademark sarcastic but poignant joke about the fact that so much of their time on screen has been spent in the Central Perk coffee shop.

“It’s incredibly poignant. It’s a legacy for him, one of his many legacies,” Kauffman said.

Friends has found a new generation of fans in recent years after being picked up by streaming sites.

Earlier this year, two scripts for The One With Ross’s Wedding, season four’s famous two-part finale filmed in London, sold at auction for £22,000 after being found in a bin.

Travis Scott to play Manchester's beleaguered Co-op Live venue in the summer

Travis Scott has announced a gig at the beleaguered Co-op Live music venue, despite ongoing issues which have led to its opening being postponed.

The US rapper will bring his Circus Maximus Tour to the arena in Manchester on 13 July – one of 12 new UK and European dates announced on Tuesday.

It comes amid problems which have pushed back the opening of the £365m Co-op Live venue.

The arena was scheduled to launch with shows by comedian Peter Kay in April – but these were postponed due to power testing falling behind schedule, bosses said.

The £365 million venue, the biggest indoor arena in the UK, has postponed its opening numerous times after rescheduling performances from Peter Kay, The Black Keys, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, as well as shows by Olivia Rodrigo scheduled for this Friday and Saturday. Gigs by artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Keane and Take That have also been affected.

The new music venue – which is set to become the largest in the UK when it does open, seating 23,500 people – has said it will now open on 14 May, when British rock band Elbow are scheduled to perform.

Last week, the venue said it would be taking “a short pause to events… to fully ensure the safety and security of fans and artists visiting the venue”.

American rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie had been cancelled at the last minute the previous day, due to a “technical issue” during a soundcheck.

What is happening with Co-op Live Arena?

Tim Leiweke, chairman and chief executive of US-based venue operator Oak View Group, apologised for the delays and to “all those that have been affected” and said staff were working “incredibly hard” to get the building ready for 14 May.

“As many of you will know, it’s not been the smooth start we had planned for, and I know that has caused a huge amount of disruption and frustration to thousands of people,” he said.

The issues began following a test event in April which led to Co-op Live announcing it would have to reschedule Kay’s stand-up shows. These were first moved to later dates in April before a second rescheduling to 23 and 24 May.

A gig by The Black Keys has also been moved to 15 May. Rodrigo’s 3 and 4 May dates were postponed, while A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s 1 May performance took place three days later, having moved to the city’s AO Arena.

On 2 May, a Keane gig scheduled for 5 May was postponed, while several Take That concerts have also been moved to the AO.

The Eagles, Nicki Minaj, Pet Shop Boys, Liam Gallagher, Pearl Jam, The Killers and Eric Clapton are among the big-name acts scheduled to perform at the venue in the coming months, but so far only a test event by Rick Astley has gone ahead.

The arena’s general manager Gary Roden announced his resignation last month.

What’s going on at Co-op Live?

A Co-op Group spokesperson previously said: “Co-op is a sponsor and does not own or run the venue, and we have made it clear to Oak View Group, who are responsible for the building, that the impact on ticketholders must be addressed as a priority.

“We are pleased that they will shortly be putting plans in place to do so.”

They added that safety checks would be independently verified so Co-op members and other ticket holders “can be reassured that the venue has the very highest levels of security and safety measures”.

Met Gala 2024: Zendaya, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez - all the best looks from fashion's biggest night

The Met Gala always produces the most memorable red carpet looks of the year.

Following this year’s theme, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, and a Garden Of Time dress code, the stars pulled out all the botanical stops with their outfits, with floral and garden-inspired fashion unsurprisingly dominating.

Zendaya, Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez and Gigi Hadid were among the celebrities in attendance – and there was even a pregnancy reveal.

Here are some of the best outfits from the Met Gala 2024.
